From vision to opportunity
From talent
to ownership.
Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr. is a visionary producer, educator, faith leader, and creative economy advocate whose work connects history, education, technology, entrepreneurship, and the development of human potential.
For more than three decades, Hunt has developed initiatives that bring people, institutions, and communities together around a central belief: every individual possesses gifts with the potential to create value.
His leadership journey includes producing the first three years of Memphis’s federal Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday celebrations, beginning in January 1990, under the theme The Dream: Stronger Than Pride. In 1992, he produced the opening MLK Holiday tribute for the National Civil Rights Museum.
His subsequent work includes more than ten MLK Memorial programs, the MLK Commemorative Bible, and educational initiatives connecting the lessons of history with opportunities for succeeding generations.
An Arkansas-based pastor, publisher, community organizer, and Biblical Rights Leader, Hunt centers his ministry on the spiritual legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. He publishes The God of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: The Relevant Experience, known as the MLK Legacy Bible, and advocates for understanding King’s work as a Biblical Rights Movement rooted in faith and divine calling.
As Founder and Executive Producer of MLK40 | WE GOT NOW, Hunt connects the first forty years of the King Holiday with the responsibilities of the next forty. His work includes the documentary and reflection The Autopsy of a Saint™, exploring King’s legacy and its continuing call to leadership, cultural change, and community development.
The Playbook, What’s In Your Hands, draws on forty years of research to frame three strategic plays: how we got here, how we won, and why we ain’t going back. It carries that legacy forward through faith, family, enterprise, and the work of building institutions.
Hunt serves as Arkansas state coordinator for the National Day of Prayer Task Force. Following a mass shooting in Arkansas, he founded Faith First Responders United to provide spiritual support and bedside crisis intervention in hospitals alongside emergency personnel. His civic work includes a 2022 campaign for Mayor of Dumas, Arkansas, and service as a minister for the G.O.D. Party.
Developing the Creative Economy
Today, as Founder and CEO of The College of Aspiring Artists, Hunt is advancing DAT-C, Digital Arts Technology College, a developing Creative Economy education and talent-development model designed to connect learning with real-world opportunity.
Through DAT-C, students of all ages are invited to discover their gifts, develop their abilities, explore digital technologies, create original work, participate in performance and competition, and pursue pathways toward entrepreneurship, monetization, and ownership.
The model is built upon three institutional principles:
Recruitment → Retention → Rewards
With Dumas, Arkansas, serving as the demonstration community, the vision is to expand educational and creative opportunities across rural America.
Dumas: The Demonstration.
Arkansas: The Network.
America: The Market.
Hunt’s educational philosophy is captured in one of his guiding principles:
“You don’t need to know everything. Just everything you need to know.”
His continuing mission is to help individuals and communities move beyond simply recognizing talent to developing its value.
What is your talent?
Now let’s develop its value.
WE GOT NOW. OUR WATCH IS ON.
